TUBITAK 2531-DAAD Bilateral Cooperation Support to Our Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Esra ÇAPANOĞLU GÜVEN

Explanation The project, “Effects of novel non-thermal food processing techniques on the content and bioavailability of phenolic compounds in fruit juice blends” led by Prof. Dr. Esra Çapanoğlu Güven, a faculty member of Food Engineering Department, was qualified for TUBITAK 2531-DAAD Bilateral Cooperation Support.

2020 Best Thesis Award to Dr. Barış Yavaş

Dr. Barış Yavaş, who completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gültekin Göller in the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, was awarded Best Thesis Award 2020 through the decision of ITU Graduate School.

TUBITAK 1001 and TUBITAK-DFG (Germany) Bilateral Cooperation Support Program

Our Faculty Members, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Kızıl and Assoc. Prof. Dr. M.Reza Nofar were granted by TUBITAK 1001 and TUBITAK-DFG (Germany) Research Projects.

Best Paper Award to Our Faculty Members

A study by our faculty members from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department received the best paper award in the “7th World Congress on Mechanical, Chemical, and Material Engineering” (MCM ‘21) symposium.

Best Poster Award to Our Students

Our students from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department received the best poster award in the “5th International Symposium on Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion” (mESC-IS ‘21) symposium.

Second Award to Prolis Team

ProLis Team from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department received the second award in the Teknofest Festival 2021.

Faculty Members in The Elsevier Career-Long Impact Category

9 faculty members from our faculty were included in the Stanford University World’s Most Influential Scientists List in the Elsevier career-long impact category. We congratulate our faculty members and wish them continued success.

Faculty Members in the World’s Most Influential Scientists List

While 1,150 scientists from Turkey were included in the list of the most influential scientists in the world, created every year by scientists from Stanford University, 50 names from ITU and 7 from our Faculty were included. We congratulate our faculty members and wish them continued success.

Two Experts on ARACIS Board

Two of our faculty members of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Gültekin GÖLLER and Prof. Dr. Özgül KELEŞ have been accepted as an “International Expert” in the Romanian Higher Education Council (ARACIS) Quality and Assurance Board - Doctoral Programs Accreditation Group. The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Fellowship to Dr. Faiz Muhaffel

One of the lecturers of our faculty, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Dr. Faiz Muhaffel will carry out joint research studies within 12 months at "The University of Manchester/England" within the scope of the 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program.
