Innovative Equipment Project to Extend Fresh Fruit Shelf Life Supported by TÜBİTAK–MHESI

The project titled “Development and Application of Equipment to Extend the Shelf Life of Fresh Fruits Using Ultraviolet Light and Airborne Ultrasound,” proposed by Prof. Dr. Gürbüz Güneş from our Faculty of Food Engineering and Prof. Dr. Jasur Safarov from Tashkent State University, has been selected for support within the scope of the “2518 TÜBİTAK–MHESI Uzbekistan Bilateral Cooperation Program.”

Best Oral Presentation Award at BORON 2025 to Our Research Assistant Simay Yanık

Our faculty research assistant Simay Yanık was awarded the “Best Oral Presentation” prize by the TENMAK Boron Research Institute (BOREN) and Eti Maden Operations for her presentation titled “Synthesis of Vanadium Borides by Molten Salt Electrolysis”, presented within the scope of the International Boron Symposium (BORON 2025).

The opening ceremony of the area, which was put into the service of our students under the name of "Yıldız Eren Computer Laboratory and Study Area", took place on December 6, 2022.

Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çimenoğlu’s New Steel Production Method Registered as a Patent”

A study titled “Creep-resistant and microstructurally stable steels containing Yttrium(III) oxide and their production method,” conducted by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Çimenoğlu of our Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in collaboration with researchers from Selçuk, Bülent Ecevit, and Bayburt Universities, has been registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
