The International Materials Technologies and Metallurgy Conference (MTM 2025) was successfully held on October 2–3, 2025, at the Istanbul Technical University Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.

Decarbonization Path of Türkiye Discussed at the 10th Carbon Summit at ITU

The 10th Istanbul Carbon Summit held at our Ayazağa Campus attracted great interest. At the summit, the Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SÜT-D) awarded carbon management successes.

ITU and University of Edinburgh Launch Joint Project on Decentralised Clean Energy from Biomass Waste

2025 ITU Academic Performance Awards

Our University's Academic Performance Awards were presented to their owners for the fourth time in 2025. The Academic Performance Awards, given in three separate categories, were given to the faculty members who showed the highest academic performance within the department in 2022-2024, and to the faculty members and research assistants who showed the highest performance based on publications within the department in 2024.

TÜBİTAK 2515 COST and TÜSEB 2025-A1-01 Project Support

The project, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih ORTAKÇI, a faculty member of our faculty's Food Engineering Department, has been awarded support within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2515-COST Program, and the other project has been awarded support within the scope of the TÜSEB 2025-A1-01 A1 Project Support Program for Undergraduate Students.

MEDNIGHT: Prof. Dr. Beraat Özçelik

Mediterranean Researchers' Night (MEDNIGHT) aims to strengthen regional cooperation by bringing together distinguished scientists and academic institutions from countries bordering the Mediterranean every year. This year, Prof. Dr. Beraat Özçelik, a faculty member of our Faculty Food Engineering Department, was included in the list, thus reinforcing ITU's strong position in the international arena.

Our Faculty's Double Success in TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B Programs!

The 2024/1 period support results of the 2209-A and 2209-B programs conducted by the TÜBİTAK Directorate of Scientist Support Programs (BİDEB) have been announced. Our Faculty attracted attention with its high performance in both programs.
