To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Within the scope of the 250th anniversary of Istanbul Technical University, our faculty members members from the Departments of Food Engineering and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering were awarded.

In the 250th anniversary of our university, within the scope of the Istanbul Technical University Awards, scientists who stand out with their original works in the fields of science, technology and art were awarded. Prof. Dr. Esra ÇAPANOĞLU GÜVEN from the Department of Food Engineering and Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Reza NOFAR from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, were deemed worthy of the "International Collaboration" and "Young Academician Achievement" awards in the field of Engineering, respectively.
