To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

The project, “Fabrication of nanofiber mats with furin as food contact materials for breaking spike protein” led by Prof. Dr. Filiz ALTAY, a faculty member of Food Engineering Department, was supported within the scope of ITU International Research Collaboration Project.

The project, “Fabrication of nanofiber mats with furin as food contact materials for breaking spike protein” led by Prof. Dr. Filiz ALTAY, a faculty member of Food Engineering Department, was supported within the scope of ITU International Research Collaboration Project. Dr. Fatih Bildik, Res. Assist. Rukiye Yiğit and Res. Assist. Elif Alakaş from ITU Food Engineering Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer CEYLAN from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University as a researcher and Prof. Dr. Sundaram GUNASEKARAN from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Biological Systems Engineering Department as a partner are involved in this project.
