To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Our alumni who have completed 20. years in Food Engineering came together on the 249th ITU Day.

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, the Food Engineering Department alumni who have completed 20 years in the profession came together at our faculty for the 249th ITU Day. At the ceremonies attended by alumni of the Food Engineering Department and their families shared the enthusiasm of getting together again after many years. Chemical and Metallurgical Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Gürmen and Head of the Food Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Meral Kılıç Akyılmaz celebrated the 20th years of alumni of the Food Engineering Department in the profession and thanked them for their participation.
