To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

TENMAK-NATEN Officials Visit within the Scope of Projects to be Carried out in Our Faculty

A meeting was held with the officials of the Turkish Nuclear and Mining Research Institute-Rare Earth Elements Research Institute (TENMAK-NATEN) regarding the projects to be carried out in our faculty.



In the meeting held with the officials of the Turkish Nuclear and Mining Research Institute-Rare Earth Elements Research Institute (TENMAK-NATEN), ideas were exchanged about the progress of the projects that have already been initiated and an agreement was reached on improving the existing cooperation and making it more sustainable.

Solvometallurgical extraction project coordinator Assoc. Dr. M. Şeref SONMEZ and team members Res. Asst. S. Samet KAPLAN and Çisem ÇELİK informed the institution about the progress of the ongoing project. Laboratory studies were also carried out with the authorities of the institution in order to demonstrate the work done in our laboratories.
