ITU Faculty of Chemical Metallurgical Engineering

To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

M. Şeref SONMEZ, Faculty Member of our faculty, participated in the first boron workshop of Turkey held at the new campus of Eti Maden, Bor Campus, in order to contribute to and take an active role in possible collaborations.

On December 28, 2021, the boron workshop with the theme "Design the Future with Boron" was held for the first time in our country, with the support of YÖK and the contributions of TENMAK, at the Bor Campus, the new campus of Eti Maden. More than 200 universities and their institutes, research centers and technopark participated in this workshop.
From our faculty Assoc. Dr. M. Şeref SONMEZ attended to this workshop. New meetings were planned to create new project ideas on Boron and Rare Earth Elements.
