ITU Faculty of Chemical Metallurgical Engineering

To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Chemical Engineering Department Faculty Member, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Kızıl’s project titled “Single-Molecule DNA Spintronics in Ferromagnetic Nanowire Nanojunction” was granted within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program.

Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Reza Nofar’s project titled “Design of Temperature Resistant Recycled PET/PBT Bead Foams; Clarification of Foaming and Source Structure-Property Relationships” was granted within the framework of TUBITAK – 2507 Research Projects, Bilateral Cooperation Support Program with German Research Foundation (DFG).
