To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

A study by our faculty members from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department received the best paper award in the “7th World Congress on Mechanical, Chemical, and Material Engineering” (MCM ‘21) symposium.

A study by our faculty members from the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department received the best paper award in the “7th World Congress on Mechanical, Chemical, and Material Engineering” (MCM ‘21) symposium.

The study titled “Optimization of CVD Parameters during Synthesis of Fe@C Core-Shell Nanoparticles using Fe-Nitrate Based Precursors” by our University’s Chemical-Metallurgical Engineering Faculty, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department research assistant and faculty members Res. Asst. Sıddıka Mertdinç, Asst. Prof. Dr. Umut Savacı (Eskişehir Technical University - ETU), Prof. Dr. M. Lütfi Öveçoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Ağaoğulları received the best paper award in “7th World Congress on Mechanical, Chemical, and Material Engineering” (MCM ‘21) symposium.
