The project competition "Food Waste Lost Its Taste" organized by ITU Food Engineering Department was held in our Faculty. The steps taken to prevent food waste in the event held within the scope of European Week for Waste Reduction are of great importance for a sustainable future.
The “Food Waste Lost Its Taste” project competition organized by our faculty’s Food Engineering Department within the scope of European Week for Waste Reduction received 28 applications from 10 different universities. Following the preliminary evaluation by the jury, the 10 projects with the highest scores were determined as finalists. Following the jury’s evaluation of the presentations of the finalist projects, the projects that will receive awards were determined. Our Food Engineering Department undergraduate student Neşe Kaya has been awarded the fourth prize. These steps taken to prevent food waste are of great importance for a sustainable future. We thank the students who participated for their liability and creative solutions. We congratulate our students who won awards and wish them continued success.
