2nd Food Microbiology Congress will be hosted by Istanbul Technical University from 4 to 6 September 2025, in collaboration with the Departments of Food Engineering at Istanbul Technical University and Yildiz Technical University. The congress will be co-chaired by Prof. Dr. Funda Karbancıoğlu Güler, from the Department of Food Engineering at ITU, and Prof. Dr. Muhammed Arici, from the Department of Food Engineering at YTU.

The scientific program of the 2nd National Congress of Food Microbiology will focus on both fundamental and applied research in food microbiology and food safety—fields of critical importance to public health and societal well-being both nationally and globally. The congress aims to encourage the development of innovative practices and technologies in the field. The congress further seeks to strengthen academic collaboration and to support the exchange of knowledge and expertise between researchers and industry stakeholders.
