Three distinct research projects led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Ağaoğulları, a faculty member of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, have been awarded funding under prestigious national and international support programs.

The project titled “Design, Production, Characterization, and Investigation of Plasma-Wall Interaction of High-Entropy Particle-Reinforced Tungsten Matrix Composites for Fusion Technologies,” to be led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Ağaoğulları, with the contribution of Prof. Dr. Laima Luo from Hefei University of Technology, China, as a visiting researcher, has been deemed eligible for funding under the TAGEP Program by the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency (TENMAK).

Additionally, the project titled “Synthesis and Performance Testing of Novel Magnetic Binary Metal Oxide@Graphene-Doped MXene-Based Nanocomposites for Spectroelectrochemical Detection of Pharmaceuticals,” jointly led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ağaoğulları and Prof. Dr. Ede Bodoki (Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine & Pharmacy), has received support under the 2569 TÜBİTAK–MCID Bilateral Cooperation Program. This interdisciplinary project involves faculty members and researchers from various departments of our university.

Furthermore, under the ASELSAN Academy program, the project titled “Development of Oxygenator Membranes and Coating Studies for Heart-Lung Machines,” led by Mustafa Bellek, a PhD student in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Materials Design Engineer at ASELSAN, has also been selected for funding.

We congratulate our faculty member and all researchers involved in these projects and wish them continued success
