To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

3. Food Up Food Summit

The 3rd Food Up Food Summit organized by ITU Food Engineering Club and Food Engineering Department was held successfully.

Our valuable speakers and participants took part in this event where the latest developments in the food sector, consumer trends and innovative approaches were discussed.

First of all, we would like to sincerely thank Dr. Hakan Başdoğan, Serra Lale Çiçek Özkul, Gaye Gizem Açıkgöz, Buse Nur Çömlekçi, Furkan Akdemir, İlker Becerikli, Büşra Yalçın who enriched our summit, provided important perspectives on the future of the food sector and shared their experiences.

The main theme of the event, where many topics such as changing consumer expectations, healthy life trends, sustainable production, innovative food technologies were discussed, was “Consumer Trends and Developments in the Food Market”. We would like to thank the speakers, sponsor companies, club members and participants.
