ITU Faculty of Chemical Metallurgical Engineering

To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Academic Board Meeting of our Faculty titled “Evaluation and Future Outlook”

The Academic Board Meeting for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Fall Semester was held on December 06, 2024, in D201 class of our faculty with the participation of our Rector, academic and faculty members.


Our academic and administrative staff came together at the “Evaluation and Future Outlook” meeting of our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal. The meeting discussed the ways to provide our eager, excited and responsible students with the knowledge and skills required benefiting from the deep-rooted knowledge and strong experiences of ITU. In addition, it was evaluated how more efficient steps can be taken in the areas of innovative knowledge production, technology development and transformation from innovation to impact. While evaluating what can be done together to use the potential of our university more effectively and create value, it was also aimed to create a strong impact through research and produce sustainable solutions with a sense of responsibility.
