ITU Faculty of Chemical Metallurgical Engineering

To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

"Polar Sciences Encyclopedia", prepared under the coordination of the TÜBİTAK Science and Society Presidency and the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center Polar Research Institute (KARE), of which Chemical Engineering Department faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Genceli Güner is the Physical Sciences Subject Editor, has been published.

Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy, as the Chief Editor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Hakan Yavaşoğlu, and Lecturer Yaşar Barbaros Büyüksağnak, as the Coordinators, 65 Turkish scientists, including ITU faculty members, prepared 565 articles within 3 volumes of the encyclopedia under Physical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, and Social and Human Sciences https://ansiklopedi.tubitak.gov.tr/kutup/..

Our Chemical Engineering faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Genceli Güner, contributed to this valuable encyclopedia as the Physical Sciences subject editor and the author of many articles.
