ITU Journal of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in materials science and engineering. This journal covers various topics related to metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, and their production and manufacturing processes, properties, and functional performances.

An important strength of the journal is its focus on both theoretical and experimental articles that deal with scientific and engineering aspects of metallurgical processes, including raw materials and recycling of scraps and wastes, production processes such as casting, forging, powder metallurgy, joining, and machining, as well as bulk and surface processes like heat treatment, surface treatment, and coating. The journal also promotes the development of novel materials and composites and encourages research into the structure and property characterization of materials.
