To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Visiting Scientist – Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul ALPAS - University of Windsor / Canada

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Turul ALPAS of the University of Windsor's Mechanical, Automotive, and Materials Engineering Department will be a visiting researcher in our Faculty, conducting research in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and lecturing at the Graduate School of Education.

Within the scope of TUBITAK 2219 -  Fellowships for Visiting Scientists and Scientists on Sabbatical Leave, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul ALPAS from University of Windsor Mechanical, Automotive, and Materials Engineering Department(https://www.uwindsor.ca/engineering/mame/274/dr-alpas) will be a visiting researcher at our Faculty to conduct research in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and to lecture at the Graduate School of Education from 1 May 2023 to 1 August 2023.
