ITU Faculty of Chemical Metallurgical Engineering

To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

The computer laboratory, library, reading and study area of our faculty were completely renovated within the scope of a detailed project. The opening ceremony of the area, which was put into the service of our students under the name of "Yıldız Eren Computer Laboratory and Study Area", took place on December 6, 2022.



The computer laboratory, library, reading and working area of our faculty were completely renovated within the scope of a detailed project. The opening ceremony of the area, which was put into the service of our students under the name of "Yıldız Eren Computer Laboratory and Study Area", took place on December 6, 2022. Ms. Yıldız Eren and Mr. Eren Eren, who brought this area to our Faculty in order to serve the students of our Faculty and University, as well as our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, Vice Rectors, Deans, Institute, Conservatory and School of Foreign Languages Directors, Faculty Members, Faculty Staff and Students attended the ceremony. The construction of Yıldız Eren Computer Laboratory and Study Area was started last August and was completed in a short time. A total of 200 students will be able to benefit from this area and it will be open to our students until 12:00 at night. In order to provide a comfortable working environment for students, the acoustics, lighting and air-conditioning of the area were designed with computational methods and it was aimed for students to focus on their studies comfortably with sunshade curtains and heating system.
