To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Meeting of The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department Alumni on the 249th ITU Day

Within the scope of the 249th Anniversary ITU Day, the 40th, 30th and 20th Anniversary Ceremony was held at our Faculty of Chemistry-Metallurgy on Sunday, June 26, 2022. We were honored to meet with our graduates of the year.

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department alumni who have completed 20 years in the profession came together at our faculty for the 249th ITU Day. At the ceremonies attended by alumni of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department and their families shared the enthusiasm of getting together again after many years. Chemical and Metallurgical Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Gürmen and Head of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Bora Derin celebrated the 40th, 30th and 20th years of alumni of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department in the profession and thanked them for their participation.
