ITU Faculty of Chemical Metallurgical Engineering

To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Visit of First Graduates of Chemical Engineering Department

The first graduates of the Chemical Engineering Department visited our faculty.


Our 1962 graduates, Güner Kunter and Mennan Aysan Kuzanlı, among the first graduates of our Chemical Engineering Department, visited our faculty. Our esteemed graduates who completed their 60th year in the profession were hosted by the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Gulhayat Nasun Saygili, Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu, Prof. Dr. Melek Tüter and Lect. Mustafa Sertbaş. Up-to-date information about the Chemical Engineering Department was shared with our graduates. Our graduates conveyed their opinions and suggestions to our department. We thank our graduates for their contribution and visit.
