To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

A joint doctorate protocol was signed between ITU and RWTH Aachen within the scope of academic and scientific cooperation.



A joint doctorate protocol was signed between ITU and RWTH Aachen. Within the scope of this academic and scientific cooperation, our student in ITU Graduate School Metalurgical and Materials Engineering PhD program, Elif EMİL KAYA, MSc., will conduct her PhD studies  under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd FRIEDRICH and Prof. Dr. Sebahattin GÜRMEN. At the completion of her PhD thesis, Elif EMİL KAYA could both get  Dr.-Ing. and PhD titles from both universities.
