
A group of senior representatives from Cracow University of Technology (CUT) visited the Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University on April 28, 2026. The visit aimed to develop strategic collaborations between the two institutions and to initiate joint research projects.
The visiting team included CUT Rector Andrzej Szarata, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Maciej Sułowicz, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology Piotr Michorczyk, and Head of the International Relations Office Katarzyna Baron-Lisiakiewicz.
As part of the program, the team visited the ITU Synthetic Fuels and Chemicals Technology Center (ITU-SENTEK) and the research laboratories of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
During the meetings, potential collaborations were discussed in the areas of academic exchange programs, joint graduate thesis studies, and internationally funded research projects. The visit is expected to contribute to the development of long-term and sustainable academic relations between the two universities.
In line with its internationalization vision, the ITU Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering continues to strengthen its scientific productivity and global engagement by expanding such collaborations.
