To be the 6th faculty established in the history of ITU, our faculty aims to make scientific and applied research in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, food and bioengineering fields by pursuing developments in the tomorrow’s key technologies and interdisciplinary engineering opportunities to become a center of advanced solutions in national and international levels.

Our Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Food Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by ABET (EAC).

Organized within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and the Stainless Steel Industry Association (PASSAD), the “Stainless Steel Summit” was held on October 14, 2025, at the ITU Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.



Organized within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and the Stainless Steel Industry Association (PASSAD), the “Stainless Steel Summit” was held on October 14, 2025, at the ITU Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.

Bringing together industry and academia on the same platform, the summit served as a strategic meeting point where key topics such as the development of stainless steel production technologies, green transformation goals, the training of qualified human resources, and increasing sectoral awareness were discussed.

The event marked an important milestone in strengthening collaboration, innovation, and sustainability-oriented efforts within Türkiye’s stainless steel ecosystem.
